Server Importer & Cross-Host Migration

1. Visual Server Importer Overview

Migrating large Minecraft servers traditionally meant downloading 30 GB to your home computer and re-uploading over slow residential internet. Our Server Importer performs high-speed server-to-server transfers directly over datacenter fiber at up to 1 Gbps.

2. Method A: Direct Panel-to-Panel SFTP Transfer

1. In panel.oryncloud.com, click on Server Importer.
2. Select SFTP Remote Transfer.
3. Enter your old host’s SFTP details:
   • Host & Port (e.g. sftp.oldhost.com:2022)
   • Username & Password
4. Click Start Migration. Our Wings node clones all files directly into your container.

3. Method B: Direct HTTP/ZIP Link Import

If you have a direct Google Drive, Dropbox, or MediaFire download link to your server backup ZIP:

1. In the Server Importer, choose Direct URL Download.
2. Paste your direct download link.
3. Click Download & Unarchive. The server fetches the zip in seconds and unpacks it cleanly into your root directory.

4. Post-Migration Verification Checklist

• Open server.properties and ensure server-ip= is blank.
• Ensure server-port= matches your assigned primary port in OrynCloud.
• Verify your Java version in the Startup tab matches your server jar requirements.
