Bot Package Manager (npm & pip)
Search, install, update, and remove Node.js and Python packages through an intuitive graphical dashboard without manually writing terminal commands.
1. Visual Package Manager Overview
When deploying Discord or Telegram bots, managing dependencies often requires SSH terminal access. Our Bot Package Manager provides a web interface integrated directly into your container. It queries the official npm and PyPI registries, installs packages, and writes updates cleanly into your package.json or requirements.txt.
2. Installing Node.js Packages (npm)
- In
panel.oryncloud.com, open your Discord bot server. - In the navigation bar, click Packages.
- In the search box, type the package name (e.g.,
discord.js,dotenv, ormongoose). - Click Install Package. The backend executes
npm installin a sub-process and updatesnode_modules/.
3. Installing Python Libraries (pip)
For Python bot eggs:
- Navigate to the Packages tab.
- Search for your library (e.g.,
discord.py,py-cord,aiohttp). - Click Install. The package is pinned inside your virtual environment and appended to
requirements.txt.
4. Resolving Build Dependencies & Native Addons
Some audio libraries (e.g. @discordjs/opus or sodium) compile C++ native addons. All OrynCloud bot Docker images come pre-equipped with python3, make, and g++ build tools, ensuring native compilation succeeds without manual container configuration.
